Basic Facility Monitoring Systems
PowerLink’s basic facility monitoring system allows users to check essential equipment and site status over the Internet with any standard Web browser. This system can also remotely control site equipment via alarm relay outputs. It includes up to 32 channels of data input for monitoring devices with analog or dry contact signals, and 6 relay outputs to control devices and equipment. When parameters exceed user-defined limits, or a dry contact changes states, alarm notification can be sent out via email, pager, and SNMP traps.

These systems can be daisy-chained to provide up to 100 monitoring points per site, and Web camera interfaces can monitor and record remote sites automatically upon user-defined events. Basic facility monitoring systems offer similar performance to more expensive systems, while the simplified technology and easy installation make integration quick and easy.

Common monitoring points include temperature, humidity, UPS systems, DC power plants, generators, HVAC, fire suppression systems, liquid leak detection, battery systems, ATS, TVSS, magnetic door sensors, and keypad entry security.

UPS System Network Monitoring Software
This software monitoring solution is offered by the UPS system manufacturer to provide remote shutdown and monitoring capabilities for both single-phase and three-phase UPS systems. The software can be loaded on one or more network monitoring stations to monitor the status of an SNMP-equipped UPS system over a standard Ethernet network. Additionally, the software can be programmed to automatically shut down computer loads upon power failure, and even send alerts to notify personnel of power problems. It is also possible to remotely control specific UPS output receptacles on single-phase UPS systems.

Key features and benefits include:
• Compatible with most operating systems including Windows, Linux, Unix,
Novell’s Netware, etc.
• Capable of monitoring multiple UPS systems on wide-area networks (WANs) using TCP/IP and SNMP network layers
• Intuitive graphical interface with color-coded status display
• Automatically shut down one or more servers in a multi-platform environment
